In the heart of the new Fitzroy Place development lies a spacious yet inviting bar and restaurant where you can enjoy all day dining right through to evening cocktails.
The Atmosphere
Surrounded by modern artwork juxtaposed with the old world castle-like windows, Percy & Founders combines intriguing architecture with a calming atmosphere. It’s a place where you can relax in the day and grab a bite to eat, or dress up in your snazziest attire for the evening. The choice is very much up to you.
The Food
With a wide selection of simple British and modern European food cooked by executive chef Diego Cardoso there’s bound to be something on the menu that tickles your fancy. After trying the mini chicken pasties and warm treacle tarts it’s safe to say that Percy & Founders are keen to honour tradition and classics with their aim being to bring the elements of a traditional pub and reimagine it within the context of a restaurant.
The Drinks
Featuring a cocktail list of fourteen carefully crafted concoctions, Percy & Founders offers different tastes and flavours to keep you hydrated for the evening (or daytime, we won’t judge)! We tried The Lady Percy on the opening evening which was a refreshing burst of Sacred Gin, lemon juice, egg white and sage – great drink to cleanse the palate and prepare you for more exciting tastes. Other options on the menu include the New Old Fashioned, (Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Dubonnet and Fashioned Bitters) and the Basil Brush (a mix of Grey Goose Vodka, apple, passion fruit, basil syrup and lime).
The Price
You’re looking at around £12 for a homemade tagliatelle and around £9.50 on average for a cocktail. At Percy & Founders, you’re paying for the quality of the food and drink as well as the central location which is ideal for everybody from workers to tourists.
Although were there on the opening night we’ll definitely be going back in order to gain a full experience (and try some more cocktails)!
