Calling all budding cocktail loving film-makers: Bombay Sapphire are holding a ‘Learn how to be a film director’ workshop this evening. Let’s face it, you won’t be standing outside lapping up the rays, so why not enjoy a tasty cocktail indoors while you get the lowdown on making a winning short?
It’s all part of the Bombay Sapphire ‘Imagination Series’, a brilliant initiative running in collaboration with Academy Award-winner Geoffrey Fletcher and Tribeca Film Festival. Wannabe film makers are invited to submit their short film – nothing boring please, imagination is the name of the game here – based around a script written by Geoffrey and the five winners will go on to direct their film which will be launched at exclusive screenings in 2013.
The session tonight is a great chance to find out more, ask questions, get top tips and did we mention trying out a few cocktails, including the Bombay Popcorn Collins? As for the competition, if you fancy your chances, check out the script online here. Entries must be submitted by 1 August.
Learn how to be a film director, runs from 6-8.30pm on 18 July at the Bombay Sapphire Blue Rooms, Zenna Bar, 77 Dean Street, W1 D 3SH. T: 020 7437 2525. Tickets cost £15 and include cocktails and canapes, available from info@zenna-bar.co.uk.
