This month’s Chivas Seasonal Serve from Josh Reynolds, Global Winner of the Chivas Masters Cocktail Competition 2015, is super simple and super refreshing. Give it a try!
Strawberry and nutmeg syrup
“What’s more summery than strawberries?” asks Josh. “Nothing, that’s what! This drink is summer in a glass, not too boozy either. Aperol and strawberry work brilliantly together to give the drink a fruity, inviting nature, while the nutmeg latches onto the Chivas and the prosecco is there to lift everything with a nice fizz.”
Ingredients:
500g chopped strawberries
500g caster sugar
3.2g grated nutmeg
Method:
Add all ingredients to a container, shake hard and leave for 24 hours. Strain and bottle.
Use it in the following:
30ml Chivas Regal 12 yo
20ml strawberry and nutmeg syrup
10ml Aperol
10ml lemon juice
Prosecco to top
Stir all ingredients, except prosecco, in a wine glass with cubed ice. Top with the prosecco, stir again and garnish with a mint sprig and orange slice.
