According to the weather man, it’s going to be cold and wet for Bonfire Night. So what’s new? We say don’t be a damp squib, keep warm by mixing up a few cocktails to enjoy in or outdoors…
Freixenet Guido
Taking its inspiration from Guy (nicknamed Guido) Fawkes – the man who became synonymous with the Gunpowder Plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament and kill King James I, the Freixenet Guido is perfect to serve up on Bonfire Night.
35ml American Whiskey
50 ml sour cherry juice
20ml almond Syrup (maple syrup is a good alternative)
Squeeze lime
Freixenet Cordon Negro
Method:
Put the first four ingredients in a highball glass and stir. Add ice and top with Freixenet Cordon Negro, then garnish with a black cherry.

Daiquiroski Wheel
A sweet and sour alternative to the traditional Firework’s Night Catherine Wheel, the Daiquiroski takes inspiration from the explosive Cuban nightlife.
45ml Russian Standard vodka
Juice from half a lime
1 tsp sugar
Method:
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Sweet Standard Sparkler
Created with soothing honey to reignite those childhood moments spent twirling sparklers on November 5th.
50ml Russian Standard vodka
1tsp honey
2-3 ice cubes
Fresh ginger to garnish
Method:
Shake ingredients in a Boston shaker and serve in a tumbler. Garnish with fresh ginger.
