People of Edinburgh are you ready for Cocktails in the City? It’s the biggest, most exciting consumer cocktail event on the calendar in Scotland. For one night only some of the best bars in and around Edinburgh join forces with some seriously good drinks brands and trust us, this is one party you won’t want to miss.
Among the bars/brands partnerships Voodoo Rooms will be pairing up with Flor De Cana rum, The Blackbird Bar will team with Belvedere vodka and Harvey Nichols will be mixing things up with Chase Distillers – nothing but the very best around these parts. As founder Andrew Scutts says, “it’s a really unique opportunity to sample the variety and quality of Scotland’s cocktail bar scene in one extraordinary venue.”
He’s not wrong. As well as the bars there will be live demos where you get a chance to make and shake like the pros, not only that but there’ll be music, fashion, food – in fact, all of the elements you need for a cracking night out. Entry costs £10 which includes a cocktail book and the demonstrations – your drinks come in at a more than reasonable £6 each. However, ee say upgrade to either the Taster ticket for £20 which includes two cocktails, demos and your book, or even better, the Connoisseurs ticket which includes a Belvedere Champagne Cocktail on arrival, three cocktails and private tutored tastings of five premium spirits. At £40 it’s an absolute bargain.
