Cocktails to GoGo

There’s nothing we like more than people with heaps of passion and great ideas. Put the two together and you’ve got dynamite. GoGo Cocktails has the potential to be an explosive force. Let’s face it, who wouldn’t like a well-mixed cocktail delivered to their door?

And we’re not talking rubbish either. The five bottled bevvies on the menu of this three-week old operation include a Spiced Apple Daiquiri, an elderflower and apple gimlet and a peach Caiproska that shimmers in the bottle and dances in your glass.

There’s also a rather splendid Lagerita (margarita blended with lager and infused with smoke chipotle chillies) and the Pharmaceutical Stimulant, here made up of 50ml of Espresso-tini infused with cardamom and packaged in a funky child-proof pill bottle (see above).

All five are available in the recently opened shop where Hackney Road kisses Cambridge Heath Road in London’s East End. If you live in the vicinity (we’re talking E1, E2, E3, E8 and E9 postcodes), all you have to do is order via the website (gogococktails.co.uk), pay up (£5-£7 each) and wait for your courier to arrive with your chilled drink (and cigarettes, bottles of wine or juices if that’s what tickles your fancy.) The rest of us can call in for a takeaway, choosing from the bottled cocktails or selection of wines, ciders and locally brewed Beavertown craft beers on offer.

There are plenty of plans in the pipeline to ensure GoGo Cocktails should be on the radar of any cocktail lover. Like the freshly-made Bloody Mary and bacon sarnie weekend delivery service and their cocktail party pack where they will personalise and deliver bottled cocktails for you and your guests (groups of 20 upwards). And as the nifty operation is the brainchild of Byron Knight, owner of Duke’s Brew & Cue, Off Broadway and co-owner of Beavertown Brewery, the signs of the venture being a huge success are looking pretty good.
