Everybody knows that Bombay Sapphire gin comes in a distinctive blue bottle; some people might also be aware that it goes through a unique vapour infusion process. But can you name the botanicals that go into its creation?
Juniper, that’s a given. Citrus? Sure, that’s there too. But there are a few less obvious ingredients that go into the recipe. Like cubeb berries from Java, grains of paradise from West Africa, coriander seeds from Morocco and cassia bark from Indochina. Admittedly, they don’t trip off the tongue like orange and lemon peels, however, after watching the new, beautifully shot film by award-winning director Laurence Dunmore, we’re betting they just might.
Not only does the two-minute film capture the smells, the feel, the spirit of each of the exotic locations where the ingredients are hand-selected, it also reinforces the message of Sublime Beauty – the theme of the new Bombay Sapphire campaign.
The strap line is ‘Vapour Infused with beautiful botanicals from the ends of the earth’ and Dunmore captures the brief perfectly. Will there be a follow-up featuring the remaining six Mediterranean botanicals? We hope so. In the meantime, you can see the film in cinemas or escape from the nippy winter weather for a couple of minutes by following the journey below.
