Drinking In The Glamour At London Fashion Week
It’s London Fashion Week folks, that means lots of skinny birds wearing ridiculous clothes and guys of a certain persuasion wearing jeans so tight you can see their religion. You’ve got to laugh at the hilarity of it all, especially those who take the whole thing so goddamned seriously. Ms S likes to dress up with the best of them but really, a frock is just a frock whoever sends it down the catwalk…
We don’t do the out-and-out fashiony shows, preferring the elegance and myriad cocktail-wearing opportunities from the old-school Brit Pack like Jaeger, Aquascutum, Burberry and Jasper Conran. That said, we missed the Jasper C show this afternoon (hey, it was at midday and this was the first Sunday we’ve had off for aaages). Instead we’ll raise a glass to him at the Bombay Sapphire Dusk Bar at Somerset House (which happens to be Fashion Week HQ for the first time this season).
Obviously, we’ll be rocking the ‘Fashionista’ (Bombay Sapphire, Chambord Black Raspberry Liqueur and champagne or prosecco, see recipe below). Well, nobody could ever accuse The Cocktail Lovers of being out of style…
Bombay Sapphire ‘Fashionista’
Ingredients:
25ml Bombay Sapphire
12.5ml Chambord
17.5ml lemon juice
2 raspberries (1 shaken, 1 to garnish)
Method:
Shake all the above with ice then double strain into a champagne flute. Top with champagne or prosecco and garnish.
