How clever of Jägermeister to launch its first streetwear range when the entire world is living in trackkie bottoms, hoodies and T-shirts? Admittedly, right now it’s more ‘homewear’ than ‘streetwear’ but it doesn’t really matter, the limited-edition Best Nights collection fits the current daily dressing essentials down to a T.
Working from home? It works for that. Your daily walk? Yup, that too. Catching up with friends on Zoom? Abso-bloomin-lutely, especially as these are exclusive, limited-edition styles that are guaranteed to sell out faster than you can say ‘shots’.
There are 12 styles in total, including the key pieces mentioned above, plus beanies, an oversized scarf and the thing that ties the whole look together, socks. Each piece is inspired by best nights with friends and while we can’t do that right now, those days will be back sooner than you know it.
Colour-wise, it follows a black, orange and green palette (hey Jägermeiser bottle) and as for the branding, it’s subtle in a confident, those-who-know-know kinda way – the cues come from the location coordinates of Jägermeister headquarters in Wolfenbüttel, Germany.
The whole package has got the seal of approval from the global streetwear fashion community, with New York based stylist Bloody Osiris heading up the campaign, and support coming from model and stylist Lisa Anckerman (Sweden), rapper Dalibor Stofan aka DALYB (Slovakia), blogger and sneaker expert Christopher Blumenthal (Germany) and the self-proclaimed oldest streetwear talent on earth Aloiz Abram aka Gramps (Germany).
The Best Nights collection which launched on 31st January, starts from €15 with €1 from each order going to United We Stream, the international collective committed to supporting club culture.
