Did you see issue 12 of The Cocktail Lovers magazine? Not sure? Here’s a clue: it’s the one featuring Clotilde Lataille (above) looking all Sally Bowles-like on the cover. Inside it focuses on some of our favourite females in the industry including Julie Reiner, Elizaveta Evdokimova, Ivy Mix, Tess Posthumus and Lorena Vasquez on a global level, and Shervene Shahbazkhani, Metinee Kongsrivilai, Sian Ferguson and Esther Medina-Cuesta representing the UK.
That was part one in our mission to highlight the wealth of extraordinary female talent in the drinks business. Not in a ‘let’s-do-our-bit-for-the-little-ladies’ patronising way; we’re celebrating the women who are in it because they’re comfortable in their own skin. Besides, each of them are than a match for their male counterpart – it’s their passion, hard work and exceptional skill in their chosen field that shines through.
Thanks to Cointreau (and its fantastically talented Master Distiller Bernadette Langlais who will also be featured), we’re celebrating the spirit of some of the key women busting all the right moves in London. The preview of the first in our Leading Ladies of Drinks photographic exhibition series kicks off in style at the super-swanky Hospital Club. Expect Cointreau Fizz cocktails – some made by the excellent Cointreau team, others for guests to make themselves courtesy of the the D.I.Y Cointreau Fizz bar. There will also be a photo booth for guests to star in their own shoot (and yes, there will be suitable props!), plus of course, the stars of the show, 23 stunning photographs of our Leading Ladies of Drinks photographed by Johnnie Pakington.
The exhibition will take place during London Cocktail Week in October but we’re hosting a exclusive invite-only preview on May 12th. We have ten pairs of tickets available for our readers – fancy coming along?* All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is email us with ‘Leading Ladies’ in the subject header and be available to attend the party on Tuesday – that’s it.
Winners will be contacted on Monday 11th May.
