Cocktails and brunch at Little Bat Bar

Little Bat (sister bar to Shoreditch’s renowned Callooh Callay), has now launched a brand new weekend brunch menu – and if you’re quick, you can tuck into the delicious dishes for half price!

The new menu, served all-day Saturday and Sunday, is set to cure even the heaviest of hangovers and features a collection of tasty brunch favourites, as well as a list of brunch-inspired cocktails to get your weekend started right. Served to a soundtrack of 80s pop and laid back classics, the launch of the new menu follows a major makeover at Little Bat – giving the bar a lighter, more summery interior, complete with open front terrace, palm print armchairs and a disco ball!

The brunch menu gives the option to go ‘bottomless’ for an additional £25, where guests can choose from bottomless Bloody Marys, prosecco or mimosas for a two hour sitting. The weekend brunch cocktails include the Breakfast Club (Portobello gin, pampelle, cocchi rosa and lemon) and Elevenses (McVities’ Digestive Rumbullion, tea and a shot of Fair cacao liqueur served on the side). Alternatively, guests can opt for the D.I.Y. Bloody Mary trolley… For £10 per person, you can mix up your own vodka or gin-based Bloody Mary drink made from fresh tomato, carrot or beetroot juice and a host of other ingredients from the retro trolley (above), including bacon strips, celery salt, horseradish, turmeric, Worcestershire sauce and fresh lemon or lime juice.

Book in to try the new weekend brunch menu on 7th or 8th of July and enjoy 50% off your food bill!

Secret Garden Supperclubs with Mr Lyan & Doug McMaster

A series of secret supper clubs, where the exact location of the dinner is only revealed the day before, and the menu is equally mysterious? Sounds wonderfully cryptic! This is the idea behind the new Secret Garden Supper Clubs from award-winning duo Mr Lyan (aka cocktail maestro Ryan Chetiywardana) and zero-waste mastermind Doug McMaster, creator of Silo restaurant in Brighton.

Working closely with gardens which have a focus on supporting and giving back to the community around them, the Cub team will use hyperlocal produce grown on site for each of the menus – making every dinner unique. To keep diners on their toes, the postcodes of the dinners will be announced when booking, with the exact location revealed the day before via email and Cub’s social media channels.

Blurring the boundaries of food and drink, the set menu takes guests on a journey where each drink or dish leads beautifully on to the next. With a strong focus on sustainability and minimising waste, abundant ingredients that would normally be discarded are showcased in dishes and drinks.

30th July and 27th August

Tickets are priced £60 per person for all food and drink, and can be booked through | 1st July, 30th July and 27th August

The specialist ‘Andalusian Bodega’ sherry bar in King’s Cross, just across from mother tapas restaurant, Camino, is nestled in Varnisher’s Yard, a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle from the main thoroughfare, and even has an outside terrace for soaking up some sun. The cocktails are Rebujito Xeco fino, (Fever-Tree lemonade, fresh citrus and mint) and Spanish Mule (Xeco fino, Fever Tree ginger ale, peach bitters), and are best when enjoyed with some Spanish-inspired bar snacks. Diplomático rum fun at The Bloomsbury Club Bar

Nothing screams ‘summer’ like a rum cocktail – especially when quaffed on a fern-lined cocktail terrace, shaded by palm leaves and complete with its own Diplomático bar and vintage traveller artefacts. Looking for a taste of the exotic? Head straight to the Diplomático Palm Terrace.

Inspired by a voyage of discovery to the Americas in the 1930’s, the Bloomsbury Club Bar’s outdoor terrace bar has been transformed into a seductive, palm-decked sanctuary offering guests a bespoke selection of sophisticated tropical inspired cocktails. Guests can then sit back and relax with a complimentary iced Diplomático Planas Daiquiri whilst they peruse the selection of contemporary, sustainably considered cocktails that draw on Don the Beachcomber (the founding father of Tiki) and his travels in the Caribbean and South Pacific back in 1930’s, akin to those of Don Juancho many years before.
