October was all about breasts and thinking pink – November zones in on prostates and moustaches. We’re talking cancer awareness folks, so do your bit to support the cause…
During ‘Movember’ sponsor someone sporting a tash (double the amount if it’s a woman!). Alternatively, try a special Movember cocktail mixed up to raise vital funds for the charity:
At Kettner’s Tom Selleck’s splendid moustache is the inspiration for The Magnum, a blend of Havana Club Especial rum, fresh raspberries, maple syrup, Tuaca liqueur and citrus. One pound from the £8.50 cost of the cocktail goes to Movember kitty. While at Primo at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel, its special Movember Mojitos (complete with its own mini moustache), cost £7.95 each with £4 going to the charity (a great reason to order more than one.)
If you’re more of pint lover, worth noting is the daily-changing Spitfire Pie and Pint menu at The Devonshire Arms. The pies on offer take in winter-warming specials like steak and veal, celeriac and tarragon, steak and oyster, venison and prune and skate cheek and langoustine, and for every one sold, £1 goes to support the Movember cause.
