Daniel Baernreuther. He is a person who taught me about the bar business with clear directions and Erik Lorincz for the craft of tending the bar.
What makes a good bartender?
Anticipating the guests’ needs and enjoying the moment.
Which bartenders do you admire and why?
Naming just one, Alex Kratena, for being an inspiration to every bartender in this world.
What’s your proudest moment as a bartender?
Working at the American Bar at The Savoy hotel.

This is dependant on what drink I’m mixing.

To mix:
I am happy to mix anything as long as it delights my patrons.

Daiquiri.
What’s your definition of a bartender and a mixologist and where do you fit in?
I am a bartender. A mixologist is like a big question mark for me. A bartender is a person who is a perfect host and an entertainer, as well as someone can craft and mix delicious drinks.
What’s your favourite ingredient?
Love and passion.
Where do you drink off duty?
Gordons Wine Bar, Embankment.
What’s your essential piece of bar kit?
Smile.
What’s your failsafe recipe to mix at home?
Hot water and a green tea bag.
If you could mix a cocktail for anyone alive or dead, who would it be and why?
Mother Teresa, as I am very inspired by the work she did unconditionally for mankind with a true humbleness and dedication.
