Seductive packaging at No. 3

In A Nutshell:

A sophisticated modern classic gin with juniper at its heart.

TCL Rating:

What They Say:

No.3 is unmistakably a traditional London Dry Gin. By traditional we mean gin that tastes as gin should, with juniper at its heart. We are determined that No.3 will be the last word in gin for a Dry Martini”.

What We Say:

Ms S says

Everything about this gin says quality: from the handsome box and beautifully designed tissue paper to the rich, racing green bottle with that mysterious key nestled snugly in the body. Then there’s the taste. Phwoar, this one is a corker: clean, crisp, sharp and spicy with a delightfully aromatic nose. Juniper is the boss here which makes it an absolute corker in a Dry Martini – particularly when that rootsy angelica taste comes in to play. It also kicks some serious ass in a G&T… This one isn’t for the faint-hearted – we’re talking a whopping 46% abv. However, if you love quality gin, you’ll absolutely adore this one – like the kids on the street say, it’s da bomb.

Mr G says

From first setting eyes on the packaging through to the last drop of the Dry Martini this is one lovely, lovely London dry gin. I like its smart white box with nifty die cut keyhole and the heavily embossed key on the elegant green bottle. As for the contents, the aroma is all about juniper front and centre, and this continues on appealingly in the taste along with a perfect balance of fruitiness and spiciness. It’s the Dry Martini though where No. 3 really gets down to business. Those fruits and spices balance beautifully for a full-on flavour, there’s a creamy texture, and the angelica makes for one of the driest, tastiest and most downright delicious finishes a Dry Martini can deliver.
No. 3 Negroni

Fun Fact:

No.3 refers to the address in St. James’s Street,London, which has been the home of Berry Bros. & Rudd since 1698. The inspiration for the key on the bottle comes from the one used to open the door of  The Parlour, one of the oldest rooms in the shop.
