What is it that transforms an everyday bar into a truly great one? The design of the place plays a part. There has to be a good vibe too. And, yes, we’d expect to be served some delicious drinks. The thing that really makes the difference though, as all good bartenders know, is the team. Chivas Regal are no fools, they know that too, that’s why camaraderie was an essential part of the recent Chivas Masters Cocktail Competition Global Final in Shanghai and saw The Beach Brothers (above) take the top prize.
Now Chivas Regal is looking to celebrate a winning crew in GB.
Show your team spirit and it could be a win, win, win situation
The team that shows they have it all are in for not one but three great prizes. First they get to choose a cool £4,000 worth of bespoke bar equipment for their bar to help take it on to another level.
Then it’s time to shine on another stage as they get to put in a very special guest shift at the Chivas Regal pop-up at the Truman Brewery in Spitalfields.
And completing the prize line up for the winners is a big night out at a venue of their choice* for mutual backslapping and general celebration of their triumphant alliance.
Here’s how to get involved
Chivas Regal want you to make a drink and a film. The former is straightforward enough right? You come up with great drinks all the time. The idea for this one is simply to create a fantastic cocktail made with Chivas 12 Year Old.
As for the film, we’re not talking Spielberg, Tarantino or Lucas. Just get out your iPhone (or any smart phone or camcorder come to that) and hit the record button. Your film should be no longer than four minutes and, most importantly, it should show your drink being made and capture the team spirit of your bar.
Then it’s just a case of uploading your film to your Facebook page along with the hashtag #CHIVASTEAMSPIRIT. The hashtag is super important, if you want Chivas Regal to find your entry.
Okay, it’s over to you. Create your drink, make your film and upload it before the closing date of 30th September 2016. The winning team will be announced 10th October 2016.
