Bar shows are a bit like buses, you wait ages for one to come along then two appear at once. That said, there is a huge difference between the two excellent showcases coming up in early July. The rather wonderful Imbibe Live at Earl’s Court 2 on 5th and 6th July is squarely aimed at professionals whereas The Drink Show Live on 8th and 9th July is all about the spirited consumer. And where better to host such an event other than London’s temple to all things booze, Vinopolis?
To make it even more fun, The Drink Show Live runs over a Friday and Saturday, so everyone will be in a party mood right from the start. That’s guaranteed to continue with the six themed bars, tastings of hundreds of products (with discounts and free delivery if you fancy splashing out on the day) plus master classes from a range of inspiring drinksmeisters including David Wondrich, Jared Brown, Tom Estes and Wayne Collins. In addition Andy Pearson will be demonstrating his winning ways with mixology in a series of fun and informative live demos including Contemporary Cocktails and Hosting The House Party.
Entry is free but you need to buy Tasting Tokens to experience the special events and sampling of products. Cards cost £10 for 10 tokens. A guideline of what to expect to pay is as follows:
Master Class = £5 (includes all tastings)
Spirits and Liqueurs = 1 x £1
Wines = 1 x 50p
Beers = 1 x 25p
