Finding the Top 50:
In order to determine who will be going through to the Top 50, the next stage will see the entry challenge judges travelling across the country, visiting each of the Top 100 bartenders in their bars. Here they’ll ask the talented ‘tenders to recreate their entry challenge cocktails, which starred either Tanqueray No. TEN or Seedlip and for those who submitted challenges in both categories, the judges will decide which of their drinks they would like the bartender to make. Those who make it through to the Top 50 will be announced on 20th March on World Class GB’s Instagram and will get to compete at Birch, Cheshunt – stay tuned for more details!
The Challenge Champions
New for World Class GB is the introduction of the Challenge Champions. Winning more than bragging rights for those who impress the judges with their entries for the six challenges (one for each of the brands represented), the six winners will enter a year of mentoring with Jo Last and Pippa Guy. This is an incredible learning opportunity on its own but there’s more… The Challenge Champions will also receive a number of educational prizes such as foraging walks, technical masterclasses and storytelling/the art of theatre talks, run by some of the most inspiring and creative minds in the industry. They will also be invited to an amazing dining experience that they will be able to enjoy as a group.
