aka The Bulleit Session
Our last session for the day and it’s time for Group 4 to get to grips with bourbon. As with all of the day’s activities, they’re in good company – we’re now with Andrea Montague Whisky Brand Ambassador and Jake Burger from Portobello Star who’s job it is to put all 50 semi-finalists through their paces. Which they are doing. Big time.
We won’t lie, it’s tense in here. The bartenders are listening intently as Andrea and Jake talk about bourbon cocktails and how they became classics. Things are about to get even more interesting now as the group have to sit a 30-minute exam on bourbon production and history, classic bourbon cocktails and Bulleit bourbon tasting notes.
