
Get a wiggle on and book your place at the Bombay Sapphire ‘Ginbilee’ masterclasses at The Rib Room in Knightsbridge this month. Launched to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, we reckon that these fun interactive sessions would definitely get Her Majesty’s seal of approval…
After a welcoming Ultimate G&T and nibbles, Sam Carter Bombay Sapphire Brand Ambassador will give a short talk about gin, zoning in on the popularity of the gin and tonic. Then he’ll teach you how to make five delicious G&T infusions before you get behind the bar to create your own.
We went along to the launch and devised the Cocktail Lovers Cucumber Crush (Bombay Sapphire, crushed cucumber, elderflower cordial, homemade lime cordial made up by the excellent bar team, topped with Fever Tree tonic water), while others came up with fantastic concoctions using fresh ginger, rhubarb, raspberries and peppers (thankfully, not all in the same glass).
Priced at a reasonable and very clever £19.52 (in honour of the year HM took to the throne), to include a goody bag containing a full-sized bottle of Bombay and a recipe card so you can recreate your recipe at home, we can’t think of a better, more enjoyable way to spend £20 and still have loose change in your pocket…
The classes take place on Saturday 12 May, Saturday 19 May and Saturday 26 May from 2.30pm-5pm (max. 10-12 people per class). If you can’t make one of the dates, be sure to call in to the Rib Room Bar & Restaurant to try one of the Bombay Sapphire G&T infusions on the menu, priced at £13.50 each.
