Things we’re looking forward to this week
We’re keeping ourselves relatively quiet this week as there’s plenty to keep us busy on the work front. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little bit of fun…
Tuesday is the opening of Westfield Stratford and we’ve been invited along to check out the food and drink offering. We must admit one of the highlights will be jetting from King’s Cross to Stratford in a tardis-fashion on the super fast rail link, anything else, like sipping Champagne in the Searcy’s Bar or trying the cocktails at Jamie’s Italian, will just be a wonderful bonus…
In the evening it’s on to the Royal Reception and Finalists Dinner, followed by disco dancing and quality cocktail drinking at Chambord Rendezvous 2011 at One Mayfair. The highly anticipated event marks the end of a nationwide search to find the best liquid and culinary talents in the UK. Russ Kane will announce the winners who will be invited on an enviable trip to Paris and the Loire Valley to see where the deeply glam black raspberry liqueur is crafted while Edith Bowman will be spinning the tunes on the decks…
Later in the week we’ll be trying our hand at cocktail flairing at T.G.I Fridays, where else? As the company who were brought in to teach Tom Cruise his moves for Cocktail, we figure we couldn’t be in better hands. And yes, there will to video evidence to show how we get on…
On Friday we’ll be digging out our vintage gear for the Goodwood Revival, the most glamorous racing event in the world. As well as the fashion and cars, we’re looking forward to music and shopping from the 1940s through to 1960s, plus of course, gorgeous old-fashioned whiskey cocktails from the Johnnie Walker hut…
And the weekend sees the start of London Fashion Week, so Ms S will be checking out the best cocktail dresses along with the Women In Black while Mr G seeks solace in Cocktail Towers…
