Want to have a fun night, feel good about yourself and do good for others at the same time? Then mark 1st September in your diary. That’s the date leading non-profit Equal Measures UK will be hosting a special charity evening to raise much-needed funds to support underrepresented and marginalised people working in the drinks and hospitality industries. And lord knows, there are more of those than we’d like to think.
The evening gets September started in fine style, giving those in the room the opportunity to become owners of some real beauts. We’re talking exclusive, extremely rare and here’s the clincher for collectors: some very covetable, deeply desirable money-can’t-buy-auction lots.
And while the aim of the event is to raise an incredible amount of funds, there will be plenty to keep guests entertained. Your host and auctioneer, Jack Sotti will be on hand to make sure of it.
On the menu, welcome drinks by Bruichladdich and The Botanist, bespoke cocktails from guest bartenders including Dré Masso, Chelsie Bailey and Benedetta Paris, plus a sipping menu of old and award-winning spirits. Of course all of this will bring on an appetite so expect an array of quality small plates from chef Jay Morjaria (he of BBC2/Netflix Million Pound Menu.
