Tonight’s the night! If you’re still deciding where to celebrate all things Irish this March 17th, specialist Irish Whiskey bar Whiskey Ginger invites you to an evening of ‘rebellious’ cocktail tasting. Join the gang in London Bridge in sampling a variety of Irish nectars, and take a look at their limited edition cocktail menu – created just for the national holiday.
We have insider knowledge that the Irish Whiskey of the moment is The Pogue’s unique blend. Yep, that’s right – the maverick Irish band have their own whiskey, and it’s as quirky as you’d expect. With 50% Irish grain whiskey aged in bourbon oak casks and 50% single malt Irish whiskey aged in sherry casks, the whiskey is made using ingredients solely indigenous to Ireland, including locally grown grain and Irish spring water.
The Pogue’s Whiskey forms part of Whiskey Ginger’s St Patrick’s Day cocktail menu, so head over tonight if you fancy a taste.
And if you can’t make it out this evening, you can always bring the party to you. The lovely team behind The Pogue’s Irish Whiskey have shared this colourful cocktail recipe – perfect for honouring the Emerald Isle at home. Here’s what you’ll need.
