Afternoon tea gets an edge at Palm Court at The Langham

On the rare occasions when we aren’t slaking our thirst with a well mixed concoction it has been known for us to occasionally enjoy a nice cup of tea. So imagine how we felt when we heard about G & Tea Time…
Last week, in the company of the charming Desmond Payne, Beefeater Master Distiller, we discovered yet another way to enjoy that most majestic of gins – Beefeater 24. Taking the gin’s unique botanicals as an inspiration the Palm Court at the Langham has created a bespoke afternoon tea menu, serving a tea blend using the botanicals present in the gin, sitting alongside a classic Gin & Tonic.

We’re already big fans of Beefeater 24, so it wasn’t exactly surprising that we also loved the bespoke tea, with the same citrus, juniper and angelica action going on.
Add in a few delicate finger sandwiches of smoked Scottish salmon with horseradish and Castle of Mey Beef with Savora mustard, some home baked scones, Victoria sandwich and Bakewell tart and an hour later we were more than a little satisfied.
Tea time may never be the same for The Cocktail Lovers.
