Tune in to a World Cocktail Day livestream masterclass

ByThe Cocktail Lovers

Under normal circumstances we’d all be celebrating World Cocktail Day with our favourite bartenders in our favourite bars. But as we all know, these ain’t normal circumstances.

So what to do instead? That’s a no-brainer for bartenders at home (yes, we will be drooling over your posts on Insta later). As the rest of us? It’s World Cocktail Day so we highly recommend supporting them and their venues by ordering one of the many downright delicious deliver-to-your-door options. However, if you’re one of the growing number of people who have started flexing their drinks-making muscles during lockdown, you may well want to do the job for yourself.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the circumstances, a recent survey by Bacardi in the UK shows that cocktail making at home is on the rise. In fact, as many as 43% of those questioned said that they’ve been more adventurous in the mixing things up department in the last few weeks, with a third sharing the cocktail love via virtual drinks parties with friends.

With these factors in mind, the fabulous Joe McCanta, Global Head of Education and Mixology at Bacardi will be teaming up with Sam Trevethyen, Head of Coffee at Grind in a virtual cocktail making masterclass. Tune in to the half hour session, starting from 7.30pm today for all the tips and tricks you need to hone your shaker-maker skills, including invaluable advice on perfecting three of the nation’s favourite cocktails (with a low abv Fiero & Tonic included for balance).

To prepare for the masterclass, pick your tipple(s) of choice and stock up on the ingredients below:
