It’s one thing trying to create the world’s most expensive cocktail; quite another having it officiated by the pernickity people at the Guinness World of Records. But The Maestro Salvatore Calabrese manage to tick all the necessary boxes, including producing a buyer’s receipt for the £5,500 drink.
And what a drink. Made from the finest vintage spirits from The Maestro’s private collection including a cognac dating back to 1778 and Angostura aromatic bitters from circa 1900 it wasn’t your common or garden cocktail. We know. We were one of the 30 or so lucky people who managed to get a teeny-weeny taste of it.

We’re sure if you ask nicely and have a few thousand pounds to spend on a cocktail, The Maestro will mix one up for you too.
